Well I polished the sound afterward, but yeah 48 hours. Had a blast shooting this one. Wished we could have used Ronnie more, but the storyline didn't call for it. I'm definitely working with this group again.

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH BAKED DIESEL

Cast and Crew of "Baked Diesel"

"Vin Diesel" (Ronnie Guy) chases after the car.

Setting up for the EXT car shot. Skater Dolly with 20ft of track for this one. HVX200 with Brevis and a Canon 50mm were mounted on my 501 Bogen head... Apple boxes came in useful since I didn't have a hi-hat available, so we had a decent riser that was sturdy. Andrew Stoute ran sound with gear generously provided by Joe Johnson (dvxuser Conrad_Johnson).

Jay (Jaiymon Parker) offers his sandwich to a duct-taped "Vin Diesel" (Ronnie Guy). It is the best sandwich in the world after all...

Prepping for the trunk shot. Margaret Maher, Eric Binfet, Sherilyn Henderson and Jaimyon Parker.

We shot interiors for the restaurant in a Burger King. Our Photographer (Genevieve Jenkel) knew the guy for years and he graciously allowed us use of the place for 3 hours. We even ran dolly track and took up like 6 booths. Fun.

Eric and Jaimyon get serious about the sandwich. My shoulder rig came in useful for a lot of the shots, since I was able to go quickly from the tripod directly into a new position and devide if I wanted to go back to tripod or not. Most times not. Cinevate ROCKS for their proteus setup.

Jaimyon put extra care into building the sandwich. He got extra onion rings and curly fries and stuff just to build his own creation. I think he absolutely wanted to be sure that this was going to be seen as definitely a "sandwich" since it was one of the required elements. As you can see from the boom pole, Andrew was taking his job very seriously, even on the insert shots.
