bag for HPX300

I put it under the seat, slightly to the left so my feet go to the right. I have in some scenarios asked the flight attendant to take care of my $30,000 camera and I have found a major willingness to do just about anything to safeguard it. I think approach is everything.

So I understand that the P2HD case and the portabrace CO-AB-MB are exactly the same except the Pana logo, right? When a matt box and rails is connected to the HPX300 does this case fit aswell or do I need another portabrace case and which one ?
 
Huh, I didn't know the Panasonic branded Porta Brace case was 2" wider than the standard CO-AB case. And here I was thinking the standard case was quite narrow - guess it is! Might have to make a change there... :(
 
My P2HD-case has been ordered since July. They said it was back-ordered. Probably stuck the same place my 64 GB E-series cards are...
 
Would be nice to now if the P2HD case would fit the HPX with matt box on rods because it is 2" wider than the CO-AB-MB ? Or is the CC-HD1 the only Portabrace elternative for the HPX with matt box/rods ?

I think even the 2" wider case would be a very tight fit with a matte box attached. But I'm planning on exchanging my CO-AB and can let you know - if you can afford to wait a week for so...
 
Yes that would be great. I can still wait a few weeks before I place my order for the complete HPX300 setup :-)

My P2HD-Case came in today (still no 64GB cards - grrr.) I don't think a mattebox will fit in this thing on the camera. In fact, after putting charger/power supply with cables, 2 batteries, a set of warm cards, lens cleaning supplies, camera strap, and one P2 card case, I was out of room. Still need to shove two of the little Seagate Free Agent HDs in cases and a raincover in it.

The HPX300 including mic (shotgun type), battery does fit in the P2HD case easily ? To me the case looks like a "tea-cosy" design where the cam is pressed into the cussion, right?

So what portabrace case could be an alternative if you want to inclode a matt box on rods ?? Is the CC-HD1 the only option ?????

Mic is a Sanken CS-1, Battery a 90 WH B4B, and Charger a 2-position B4B.

I've got cam batts where the quick release plate usually goes.

I think the Kata CCC-1 is wider. Look at photo #4 on this page:

it shows a matte box on a bigger camera. Might work better than the porta brace?

Thanks guys for all the info. I had some discussion with my dealer as well and he told me there is no possibility at all to get the P2HD case, it seems US only (again) :-( Since I want to stay with Portabrace I decided to go for his advice and take the CC-HD1. In my opinion a bit to big to carry around a whole day but at least every thing will fit and it is also "quick draw" system. So Monday I will hand in my signed quotation and than the long wait of at least 4 weeks will start before I get all the items I ordered. Probably the 64 G P2 card will be the bottleneck. For me to buy such cam is very big money so I hope I will not be dissapointed by it and will earn it bag soon.
