Bad People Suck

Actually, the odd's of being confronted are small, these people tend to be cowards.

I'd personally be more concerned with being set up. A foreigner is an easy target...

Apparently according to some book (CIA/SAS/NAVY SEAL?) I read many years back, in real life 1 to 1 combat some tips are:

(1) Scream , this has two functions (a) allows large amounts of oxygen to flow to your lungs, (b) creates both confusion and fear in your opponent

(2) Hit your opponent in the MIDDLE of his conversation (after asking him a questions, perhaps something like "Which is better HVX200 or HD100?"), as most humans when in verbal mode can not multitask and re-act fast enough to counter or shield.

(3) Critical areas inlcude, throat, it requires aprrox 2KG of pressure to collapse a human windpine , a severe blow can cause suffocation. The side of the head (temple) soft membrain can be puntured with a blunt object casuing death. The groin is also a good disabling point. hitting hard at the third rib bone can break it and puncture the lung. Punching UPWARDS on the nose breaking it and thus forcing it into the brain will lead to instant death.

Another help-ful tip is when one is being shot at, it is best to hide behind a car near the engine as the engine will stop the bullets from hitting you.

But other than that outsmart the guy(smart guys always win out) , and look after yourself

On that slightly violent note.... who all on here is a gun owner? I'll step up and say I am. Concealed carry permit and all. This world is too crazy and dangerous to be unprepared.

PK: Be careful out there man. It will be a sad day when you stop showing up!

Kai: Don't have a gun at the moment but I could easily walk down the street and buy one tomarrow. Our gun laws are pretty non-extant here in Montana. I'd have no trouble getting myself an unregistered AR15 - legally.

I read somewhere that if you can run at least 10 feet away from a guy with a gun then his chances of hitting you decrease by like 90%. Hopefully none of us will have to test that.

Good luck PK.

Perhaps since your known as a TV personality, it would be too risky to do anything.

Here's hopin'. :undecided

P.K. you are doing a wonderful Job. If you need muscle I'm there! I could use a tax writeoff for kicking butt!

pk, there is no way to wrap words around how beautiful it is that you stepped in to this situation. there is also no way to wrap words around how horrible it would be if you came to any harm because of it. we would like to echo what thartley said...there are not enough people like you on this planet.
noisy things near doors and windows can be very comforting, as can a few well fed friends camping out on your couch\floor (not to mention monopods, kitchen-ware, loud power-tools etc.). we collect guns, but we don't really associate them with living things barring starvation or other people with guns (gods forbid).
you are EXTREMELY talented with your hands, so we will cite some muay-thai wisdom: the human fore-arm and elbow are remarkably similar to a baseball bat, so no fists.
a "pleasant" thought with regards to the little waste of skin you unfortunately share your building with...the part of himself he evidently uses for a brain will probably rot off one day, just not soon enough.
PLEASE be careful, and may none of the advice on violence in this thread EVER be of any use to you.

This is like a bad movie. We're gonna find out PK goes missing and have to go get him (Let's Get Harry anyone?).

I'll end up rescuing his ass and carrying TC and Bluespider on my shoulders the whole trip and Pookie will end up staying after falling for some 17 year old THAI chick. KAI will forge all of ouor passports and documents for entry into the country and Barry S and Barry Green will be our sponsors and have to arrange for the Helo to airlift tus out of a final shootout near some Thai ruins.

Disjecta is bringing the DVX cause we want the documentray to be pretty

And sadly, I'm killed far after all the danger has subsided. Because that one last hit man ALWAYS survives and ALWAYS kills off the most lovable B character.

What? Me? Huh? Sorry, wasn't paying attention -- I was busy taking lessons from Anhar...

Okay, so when do we leave?

Okay, so since Barry was trained by Anhar, I think we'll need to take him with us to be the 'good guy that takes things too far.'

Now we'll need another sponsor.
