Back Focus Problem- Any Ideas?

Anyone out there ever experience back focus problems with their 100A?

No real reason the camera started doing it, but mine is slightly out of alignment and needs to be fixed. Been pretty consistent for the last 3 to 4 weeks.

Any remedies for this situation that can be tried before I send it in? Also, any leads towards a reputible repair house would be great to. Love to send it to a company that can get it back quick- maybe West Coast?

Thanks in advance...

I really recommend doing a factory reset of your camera. I had a huge back focus problem, where I couldn't get any sharpness anywhere really, and although I was really sure it was either a optical problem or mechanical problem (since the camera also made som strange mechanical sound.) it turned out to be all software related, and a factory reset made the problems go away.

It might not help in your case, but it doesn't hurt to try!

For a diskussion on that look here:

Hope this helps.

XanderDP,
A DVX can have a bad lens assembly (one of mine did and was returned for a replacement), but it's possible that your problem can be fixed with a software alignment; especially if it "just started happening".
The best place in So Cal is Digitron (ask for Eric), they really know what they are doing. Another good facility is Rob's Repair up in Washington.
I was amazed at how much in this camera is controlled by software.
Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I will try the factory reset first, maybe that will fix the problem.

Yes, up until about 3 weeks ago, the camera performed flawlessly. Owned it for just over a year now.

I'll report back later tonight on my results...
