Red Sox vs. Yankees @ Fenway Park

Shot all hand-held - no support or eye piece. Hitting perfect focus was difficult for sure.

I'd love some feedback.

Are you sure it was... Red Sox and not RED ONE? ;-) Nice imagerie, by the way. 1080p too or only 720p?

Very nice, Jim.

Throw a Z-Finder on that 7D and nailing focus won't be a problem at all.

And let's face it… Is there a slight bit of moire? Sure. But that's a small price to pay for shots you couldn't have gotten otherwise. Meaning sure, "prosumer" camcorders don't show moire, but they're also quickly confiscated by Fenway security. The stealth factor of HDSLRs can't be overstated.

Images look great- not wild about the slow audio- piano would've been just fine IMO.

You seemed to get around the stadium pretty good- where were your actual seats. Did you have a problem getting behind home plate?

Ya, I hear ya about the slow audio... I really like it when you hear the ball off the bat, but I'm not wild able the crowd yelling in slow-mo either... except when the drunk kids are screaming.

I work for the Sox doing wireless camera for the in-house video board, so I have all access pretty much. I had my big Sony ENG style camera with me as I shot all this. I hope to leave the ENG camera behind sometime this season and bring along only the 7D. I'll have a lot more flexibility and freedom.

Beautiful work, Jim. Visually stunning, excellent color. I thought the sound was crisp and really added to the piece, especially the bat off the ball as you mentioned. This is inspiring stuff and thank you for sharing.
