B&H Order

So I took the plunge,
Yesterday I bought the hmc150 from B&H. I got the "accepting orders" from their site with the 3199 price. According to their order tracking the item is "back ordered". I figure I will post my progress of getting my order so everyone else knows how long it takes to get it from them.
Anyone else have orders back ordered? or any experience on how long it takes to get the camera?

When I ordered mine it was alledgedly in stock... took two days to "process" before they shipped. I originally got an e-mail stating the camera would be here today (2/27/09). Two days after the order I got another e-mail with tracking information stating it will be here Monday... It will be one of the longest weekends of my life.... I hope you get news on yours soon!

I ordered mine on Tuesday from B&H and they said that it was not in stock but the best thing to do was give them my money and wait..... so that is what I did. Man I wish I was selling a product which in bad economic times could elicit people to give me their money and just wait....

I am assuming that I will get my camera some time by the end of next week but they did say 7-14 business days....

So long DVX100, hello editing headaches....
 
I could be my fault due to my brand new twins, yea! I order two of them last monday, placed the order early morning while it was in stock, status was processing then by the afternoon got an email w/ the traking number, by thursday I was in joy with the twins...

Checked this morning and still on back order- Luckily I really dont HAVE to have it until the 17th of March so hopefully it will get in before then.

Yes so long dvx100 - and tired heads and glitching tapes and batch capture=)

man i've been holding out on buying locally because i figured i could get a better price online, but i'm not about to fork out all my money and just sit and wait:crybaby:

I'll probably wait until B&H has them in stock before I order one. That way I know exactly when it will ship out.

You guy's could try willoughbys, try and see if they will match B&H pricing. Thats where I got mine last week.

Very quick, and problem free process. I ordered it, they processed order quickly and shipped same day. Ups delivered it

and

I unboxed it, then went out and shot some footage at the park, returned home and connected the HMC to my macbook pro w/usb and just hit log & transfer REAL SIMPLE.

Im not sure how long, when I ordered mine I placed my order over the phone!

I think it is just a service Amazon has available for vendors, because if you go to Amazon.com and search for HMC150 Willoughbys is one of the sellers that pop up
 
Awesome! I'm hoping to order mine before the end of next month!! I'm happy to see how affordable it is too.
 
my dilemma is... should i order online for 3200 and wait and wait, or should i spend 3495 and walk out of the store with it?

I don't know what state you're in, or whether you're in the U.S. for that matter, but I considered this, but when I found out I'd pay almost $300 in taxes on top of the $3500, it made my choice to order online much simpler.

And before our Gov stimulus is in the books.... "They" are gonna see to it we pay "online taxes" too, if you haven't heard!!

I'm denouncing my citizenship and coming back as an illegal alien! I can't afford to be an American anymore!
