B&H "Bill Me Later"

Ok, well, this shouldn't be in this section, I know, but I didn't know what section to post this under, and I really could use some info/advice. I'm thinking of buying a T2I or a 7D through B&H photo. While I trust B&H, I've never used the "Bill Me Later" option. I've read some horrible things about it. Has anyone here used "Bill Me Later", especially through the B&H website? It's really enticing, but my gut is telling me it's a terrible idea and that's bee backed up by it's terrible reviews. Still, does anyone have an opinion or any positive or negative experiences that they can share?

I've never used it, but from the looks of it, it's just like any other financing offer stores throw out there.

You basically have 6 months to pay. If you're not paid off in full at the end of the 6 months you are charged for interest accrued from the purchase date. So it's in your best interest to pay within the 6 months.

It doesn't look any different from any other credit offers out there. I can only assume the negative comments come from people who didn't understand the fine print.

So while I don't see anything really bad about it, it seems like if you need to use the Bill Me Later option for something like the t2i, you're better off just saving for a few months and buying it straight up.

I did buy a TV a few years ago using something like bill me later. It was $1,500. I had a year to pay it off, no interest. I paid it off in like 8 months. I was really happy with the purchase. I say, if you really want it and you CAN afford to pay cash now, then maybe look into the no interest credit. That way you know you're making a decision you can afford (at least in your current situation). Not that buying a t2i is a huge investment ;)
