Hey guys,

Thought I'd share a promo video I put together for Axe Capoeira here in Vancouver. Feedback is appreciated; I shot this with the 7D and you'll see there is also some older HVX footage as well

Nice. How'd you make that earth zoom shot? Is there a tool to automate that, or did you do it by hand or get stock animated footage?
 
Yeah I really liked that earth zoom in and out shot as well.. would be keen to hear how you did that.

What kind of shutter were you using? Looked really nice!
 
Yes I did the tutorial with video copilot: basically you have to screen capture 7-10 freeze frames on google earth... and then I found a photo of the full earth. You go through the tutorial and parent all the images together and then precomp it to add rotation, shake and clouds. Very useful stuff on this website I thought I knew aftereffects until I checked out some of these tutorials http://www.videocopilot.com

Basically we just used 2 kinos at the front and then a 2k backlight... for shutter It was a bit higher I think around 250 for the slow motion parts
