So many short films are posted on DVXuser, I'm curious about whether there are any that have won awards/shown at festivals etc.

Anyone got a short film to share which they've won an award(s) for?

Maybe not awards as such but I did win cash and a camera for these.....

First place at Rockhampton Fringe Film Festival 2008 (AUS$1000 prize)

Second place in Newcastle Herald competition (won a HF200 and AUS$500)

Neither of them are technically adept and aren't really that good.
I think I just picked the right competitions to enter.

I know you were probably wanting examples from Sundance or the like but thought you might be interested in seeing how crap you can be and still win something.

They were both shot on a HV20 on SD mostly set on auto as I have no idea of how to drive a camera.

cheers

Congrats for for the awards man. Which camera did you win?

Anyone else won anything for their short films?

I've got a short that is not online that won an audience award and honorable mention at 2 of the 7 festivals it played last year...but it's not available online as yet.

It's called B.A.M. and I produced it with the team that is currently in production (post-Production) on the feature film Battle

I'll post a link once we park it online somewhere.

I believe all of these have won awards, played/playing on the festival circuit or both.
