"AWAKE" production nearing an end, grabs for you all.

Really, really, really nicely done Scharky. I've been looking forward to seeing this since you first posted the teaser months ago. Please keep me in mind for that private screening link you mentioned and best of luck with this. I'm sure it's going to win all kinds of festival awards for ya.

Cool looking stuff, man! I like your site too. Didn't realize till now that you're just a hop, skip, and a jump away. (We're gonna be in Ellensburg on Friday screening our short, The Radio Mechanics at The Gallery).

Hey Preston,
I'm gonna be there, I have been looking forward to seeing it, I'm good friends with Joel and I am also one of the founders of the Ellensburg Film meet, which started our "first friday film showing". In fact, Joel has been a kind of assistant everything on my shoot for "Awake". I'll be sure to say hi on friday.

As for everybody's other questions

-yes, just about all shots use the layering technique I explained, I have set up a kind of template, and I can just drop clips in, and have the CC applied at the time of edit.
Not all of the look is done in post, however, before starting, I made many tests, to see what kind of look I wanted, I experimented with in camera settings as well as post corrections and came to a happy medium. SOme scenes have more CC than others, but I can safely say that most of the look that you are seeing is from post production techniques.

-For anybody that would like to be included in the private screening, go ahead and send me an e-mail. STORYTELLER 32, I have added you to the list, thanks for the interest. It will still be a little while, I am still editing, and the music is still being composed, but I hope to have a good pre screener for you all in about 1 1/2 months.

Thanks for all the great comments.

Okay, I guess everybody's chimed in already, but my favorite's got to be that hospital bed; I love that dramatic composition. Well done!

Although, I have to say that I have also been using Photoshop and After effects for a few things as well, but mainly just for technical issues.

Just really to echo everyone else's comments, this is very impressive work.

Can't wait to see the finished product, already excited just seeing the grabs.

And thanks for tips on the CC techniques you are using, it's great to see how people are creating certain looks.
