There are a few posts on this subject but none have solved my problem...
I am looking for the best way to export or transfer an Avid sequence to After Effects on a different computer. (P.S. the Avid computer is a PC and the After Effects computer is a Mac.)
I have exported the sequence as a quicktime movie and the final movie looks compressed. There is definitely some interlacing issues going on (I think that is what it is, horizontal lines of breakup in things moving on screen.)
I have tried most of the settings with aspect ratios, best quality, etc.
What I am looking for is exactly what you guys do when you want to transfer a file to After Effects from Avid Express Pro. What is the best way to do this uncompressed?
Could it be a problem that I am using the free version of Quicktime? Do I need to buy Quicktime Pro or should I be doing it a completely different way independent of Quicktime?
Thanks!
