i have a buddy whos stuck in an FCP 5 situation on a G5 mac and he has to work with AVCHD footage. anybody have input as to the conversion software and/or workflow of choice?
i played with voltaichd tonight (converted avchd to dvcprohd) and it seemed to do a decent job.
though i dont know how its output compares to clipwrap, or toast or whatever else the package du jour may be...
thoughts?
