AVCCAM Viewer updated for Mac and Windows 7

Anyone have issues with this and win7 64bit? Seems to have installed OK but it did pop up a message about the 64 bit OS not being compatible.

Oddly enough the old version worked fine after updating from vista 64 to win7 64. Trying to install the old version back onto win7 wouldn't work. Very odd.

I bought my camera used and cannot register it. Is there anyway to install the Avccam viewer without having to register? It's quite the nightmare to import footage while not being able to tell which clips are which.

just use VLC for viewing the mts clips. Not as comfortable as the AVCCAM Viewer but it works...

I actually tried using VLC but it did not work for me. The video is just grey and the audio sounds like a microphone was recording while being stuck out of a car window on the highway. Any suggestions on how to rectify this?

EDIT: actually the audio sounds fine but the video is still just grey/pixelated

what processor do you have. it should work fine. same with MPC (Media Player Classic).

The site shows "32 bit" next to the windows 7 support, however that usually shouldn't really matter. Normally you only have problems with drivers or software that interacts with hardware, such as the firmware updater.

I find very little use for the AVCCAM program. I would much rather use any basic media player for quickly playing back files. Copying with the program is slow and messes with the files. Maybe useful if you want to go straight to bluray.

Usually you can get any video to play in Windows with either VLC or MPC. I always keep both installed since sometimes one of them will have problems with a format on various machines (though it usually can be fixed through settings or codecs).
