AC160 AVCCAM Viewer - No 1080P support?

Greetings from a NOOB! :zombie_smiley:

I just received my 160 and am pouring through Barry's book.
I installed he AVCCAM viewer and it doesn't seem to recognize 1080P files
on the SD card for downloading. There is no configuration setting effecting this...

Any ideas?

Looks like you're right, the AVCCAM Viewer program doesn't list support for 1080/60p from any of the newer models (AF100A, AC90, AC160A, or upgraded AC160).

It also says AVCCAM Viewer will be discontinued as of September 2013.

I say ditch AVCCAM Viewer entirely, it's not really necessary for anything, and I would say most of us don't even bother using it...
 
Thanks Barry- I'm a refugee retiree from the stations at UT Austin. I read your book front to back in the last 48 hours
and learned some things! This 160 is a camera with particular needs. If you feed and care for it right, looks like it can
make some nice video. Thanks for all your efforts. Panasonic owns you a lot of gratitude....as we all do.
