AC160 Avccam Viewer can't copy files in PS mode

It shows like there's no data on the card. Should I just copy it over via explorer?
The copying with Avccam Viewer turns the files from MTS to MT2S, no idea about the difference between them but i'm guessing it's good..?

Just copy over the mts files via explorer. I expect Avccam Viewer has not yet been updated to handle PS mode files.

Thank you for your quick response. I guessed so, seems no updated version on Panasonic's site as well.
I did copy them, and of course they work but I quite like the hassle free unloading with the Viewer.

Any idea about the difference between MTS and MT2S?

Not my quote but here is what I found at another forum ". . .Originally m2ts stood for "mpeg-2 transport stream" which supports mpeg-4 (AVC) streams. But those m2ts mpeg-2 transport streams are different from the mts/m2ts AVCHD container. When you are talking about AVCHD, there is no difference between the mts and m2ts files except other than the filename."

I suspect the acid test is whether your NLE can read MTS. If not, then there are converters available. Best not to routinely use converters as they sometimes result in loss of quality and you can also end up with a monster sized file.

Thank you again for your help, it has been very helpful. My NLE does recognize the files, but doesn't have 1080\50p template, but thats another problem.
