AVC-Intra format option for HVX?

Is the new AVC-Intra codec supported for the HVX200?

You can already use it with P2-Camcorder AJ-HPX2100 and the portable P2-Recorder AJ-HPM100


Please support the need for this superior codec to be used with the HVX200.

(only half data rate as DVCPRO HD means: doubling your card space, same picture quality)

For the above mentioned camera is only an additional plugin board needed.

We need this for the HVX200!

It is not and will not be supported on the HVX200, since it requires an optional add-in board to handle the encoding -- there is no room for it in the camera.

Has there been a Panasonic official statement yet?

Maybe it is possible.

Yes there's been official statements, and no there won't be AVC-Intra in the HVX200. Maybe some future camera, but probably not in the lower price bracket. The HPX500 can't even use the AVC-Intra board.
