Automator and P2

Now there is a new version of Automator that is part of Leopard. It can record keyboard and mouse clicks unlike the Tiger version, so automation of FCP is now posible. I've been messing around with it today and got some cool things working but not perfected. So far I can get it to convert the P2 clips to quicktimes and then make a disk image of the card for a back up with one click of a button. I'm having trouble with the moving and renaming files and folders part of it, but give me a few more hours and I'll have it figured out. I just thought I'd post this to get ideas brewing.

I've been playing with automator as well but haven't upgraded to Leopard yet so I'm using a great little plug in from these guys:

http://labcoat.tauniverse.com/virtualinput/index.html

that allows keyboard and mouse emulation in the Tiger version of Automator.

It works great.
