Autofocus on Olympus 9-18mm when used with a Panasonic camera

Hi,

Does anyone know if the autofocus for the Olympus 9-18mm works OK (at any zoom position) with a Panasonic camera? I have heard the stabilizer does not and that the autofocus only works when the barrel is fully extended - If you have one can you confirm this please?

I own the Oly 9-18mm for m43. It works fine. The lens is collapseable so you need rotate the barrel to extend it from the locked position to get it to work.

OK then so it's not fine because you are saying it needs to be extended fully for the autofocus to work? That the autofocus only works when the lens is used at 9mm? No autofocus at 18mm or any other part of the range than fully wide at 9mm?

Here is the lens compatibility chart for the GH2 - it shows the Olympus 9-18 as fully AF compatible. Can't find a similar chart for the AF100, but in this respect they are the same camera.

Ye i have a GH2 and the AF works fine.
