I have the pancake 20mm 1.7 and have the focus button set to AFS. I guess I have inadvertently changed some setting because the camera goes focus hunting after I set focus by selecting an area in the screen and pressing 'set' to confirm. But it does not do it all the time... I can't figure it out. Is there something that overrides AFS? What other settings affect autofocus?

With the main dial on movie mode, go into the menu, Motion Picture menu, first option on page 2 is CONTINUOUS AF. Set it to off.

Probably because the user manual is 98% useless and the menu system is a complete cluster. Love my GH2, hate the menus.
