Hi!
There is a man in Japan, who took a Samsung NX10 camera and dismantled a 30mm pancake AF lens, and added a mount to use a manual Nikon 85mm f1.4, a Canon 58mm 1.8 and an Arri 25mm 1.4. And have full autofocus!
AUTOFOCUS
Its not a simple hack. But could be worth it! Particularly with very fast hard to focus lenses.
The 30mm Samsung lens, during AF extends linearly. So the question is, does a Panasonic, or any M43 Auto Focus lenses focus in this manner? I only have the 20mm and 14-45mm. And testing the 14-45mm I see no extension off the barrel. So does anyone know mechanically, how the Panny lens focus?
Just imagine having some cool 40 year old manual F0.95 lens be focused automatically!!!
How cool!
