auto-shutter mode

hi,

as i am in the decision process to purchase a camera i am testing different models and these days i have the HMC150.

in general i like the camera, especially of course the tapeless workflow. but i was a bit surprised that i could not find an auto-shutter mode. i checked the manual, i checked the web and i searched in that forum but i did not find anything about that. finally i called the dealer who lent me the camera, he said he doesn't know and he thinks that the auto-shutter mode is no standard function for pro cameras. he might be right but i know that canon's XH-A1s and sony's HVR-Z5 do have that function.

please don't ask me what i need that mode for, i just need it in some situations and i would not like to miss it in case i decide to purchase the HMC150.

so do you guys know, is it true that the camera has no auto-shutter mode or am i just too stupid to find it?

thanks, jahmal

No it doenst have it.... didnt know the xha1 had that feature.....
Come to think of it never knew video cameras had that feature to , ofcourse canon = fotocameras .Loved the xha1 !
The HMC 150 does have automatic gain and auto iris tho.
But if you want the best out if this camera you will probably want to go full manual .
Goodluck !
