AC160 Auto gain while in manual mode...?

I'm probably missing something obvious here, but is there any way to get the camera (AC160AEJ) to use Auto Gain while in otherwise full manual mode? I've fiddled with the settings, user buttons etc... but I seem to be missing something. I'm mostly used to Sony cameras, so that might be the problem but...

Auto gain as in audio, or video gain?

If video, the only way the camera can execute automatic gain control is when the auto/manual switch is in auto. But you can still have otherwise manual control; go into the AUTO SW menu and turn everything else off, and you'll have manual control of those features.

Ah, okay thank you. Yes, I was referring to video gain. Im apparently too used to Sony cameras that have a Auto Gain Control button for full manual mode. Granted, its not often you need that feature...
