Audio software to remove wind noise from a video clip

Hi,
I have a clip with speech in which there is also wind noise that is disturbing.
I have Edius 11, but I can't get good results with the audio.
Do you know of a good audio program that is easy to use and can add a clip shot in 4K h.265 and remove the wind noise easily?
Thanks

There are some plugins that might be able to help, but without hearing a sample of what you’re dealing with, it’s hard to say.

Also, it’s not going to be cheap. Izotope RX is widely-used, but the light versions are limited in how surgical one can get.

I agree with JA. I've not used it for wind, but yes, Davinci Resolve does very good dialog isolation. I shot a scene next to a busy road and was able to get perfectly clean dialog with traffic removed. I didn't know the free version had the audio ISO. Get it. It works well.

Version 19 adds AI to the voice isolation, so it is probably even better.

Davinci Resolve has a bit of a learning curve, but if you just need to do this one thing, the tutorial JA posted will get you there. That guy does good tutorials for many aspects of Davinci Resolve.

Head over to Audo Studio at audo.ai. You can process 20 minutes per month for free, and in my estimation it is superior to Davinci Resolve's voice isolation tool (I have been regularly testing the two against each other to see if Resolve has caught up, and Audo always remains a step ahead in terms of retaining more of the subtle vocal breaths and tics). If you need more than 20 mins, you can do a monthly subscription for $12 to get 10 hours worth, and then cancel. It's also extremely easy to use, you just upload the audio file, pick the percentage of isolation on a slider and hit process, then download.

Charles,
I'd like to try Audo Studio, but I have never seen such a strange website. I went to the Audo.ai site, but I don't see the possibility to use it. But is there a possibility to download the program? I don't see this option on their page. I read to do an online test, but I added a UHD .h265 file of 2-3 minutes, but nothing works. Any clarification please? Thanks

It's not downloadable. May be a browser issue--I use Chrome with it as I determined a while back that Safari doesn't play nice with it, possibly that's the issue? Also I just use WAV files with it, I find it keeping file sizes smaller helps in all directions vs uploading a video file. Try these and see if it works for you.

Just tested the demo version on the site with a UHD .h265 file in Safari, and it processed right away so I'm not sure what's happening there for you. When you drop the file on the "upload an audio or video file", what happens?

Perhaps a regional issue? Aren't you located in Italy?

Yes, in Italy, but I have just understood my problem is the video file size. I will extract only the audio from the video and do another test.

EDIT: Charles, with just audio I was able to solve my problem. Thanks for your advice.

Is that a problem of your App or the computer?

I regularly import 2 or 3 cameras with takes of 1 hour each from conferences.
During Elections when we video the count room it can be a 5-hour clip.
Neither my comport nor Resolve has no problem with this.

The problem was only in my mind. jejeje In fact I had uploaded a very large file and after half an hour I did not see anything concrete. I understood that I had to wait more time. But then I solved it by inserting only the audio.

He's talking about Audo Studio, not Resolve. It's a browser-based system.

FoxAdriano, how did it do with the wind noise?

In my previous message I answered with my feedback about Audo Studio. I wrote: "Charles, with just audio I was able to solve my problem. Thanks for your advice."

OK. I assumed the problem solving you were describing was the getting it successfully uploaded. As you described that similarly in the previous thread to that. Glad it worked out regardless.

Export the audio as a 24-bit WAV file and upload it, and post a download link, so some of us can have a go at it. If you get a good processed clip back, you can easily replace the audio clip in your H.265 file WITHOUT re-encoding it.

For my own edification Chris, I think I might do that with a troubled track from my recent project and we can all compare notes on what worked best. I'll start a new thread with the sample clip.

Sounds like a go, Charles. Something to look at in the Dog hours.
