Audio ringing and buzzing noise.

I have a fairly new 100a with 30 hrs on it. Today I was shooting an outside interview with a wireless hooked to ch2 and the onboard used for ch1(for forest noises) I was monitoring with headphones and couldn't hear anything wrong. During capture, the audio has a ringing noise quite often and a buzzing noise intermittantly. The crappy thing is that this one time interview has worthless audio(well at least 75% of it). I was wondering if anyone else has had this concern or knows maybe why this has happened.

Have you played back the footage from the camera or deck and monitored the actual audio output, or just listened to the audio after capture? Reason I ask, is that I had a similar problem years ago capturing to an ancient Mac, and the original camera audio was ok.
Just a thought.

Ever been on a land line or been close to a stereo and hear that loud buzz when your cell phone starts to ring?

That has shown up in some of my footage because I forgot to turn off my cell phone.

i am not sure if iy was coming in over the wireless, or through the cam, but always turn you cellphone off when shooting. It's a bugger to edit out that annoying noise!

I have played the video back on a tv just using the rca's and the noise is still there. just the same. I also thought it could be my computer but it's not. My cell phone was also in the car. I never bring it with me on a shoot(don't like to be bothered while shooting) I am wondering if it is just the vcr function of my camera because my friend captured some video on his mac with a seperate deck to use some clips(not audio) and he never said anything was wrong with the audio he captured. I went back and played the footage last night and it does the same thing. I am going down today to my friends studio and play it of his dvcam deck and see if it works. Thanks for the responses. I will let you know what I find.

The tape still makes the same noise even in a different deck. Guess I need to send it back to panny for repairs. This sucks, I have 6 video shoots scheduled in the next 6 weeks. I will have to rent or borrow a camera while mine is gone.
any other thoughts from anyone. I will post what was wrong as soon as I know.
Listening to the ringing noise it is consistant every 4 seconds.

I send my 100a back to panny and they did find a problem. The rear tape tension head was out of alignment I hope this was the only problem. we will see when I get it back.
