I have a Canon 7D. I own Sennheiser ME66/K6 - Shotgun Condenser Microphone which is battery powered. 1/8" Mini Male Jack to XLR is the adapter. I can't get my camera to record the Audio off my microphone. I am not sure what the problem is. At the bottom I have the link to my setup. I keep hearing I should purchase as External recorder. Please send me some links to reliable recorders. I also hear I should get a Beachtek DXA. Which way is the best way to go.
