hi all,

i have a t3i and i want to record good audio for wedding speeches and other events.
i know that most people use wireless mics with a zoom h4n.

i just received a shure ulxp4 receiver http://www.shure.com/americas/products/wireless-systems/ulx-professional/ulxp4-wireless-receiver
and a shure uc1-kk transmitter and shure lav 183 mic

question - should i stick with what i have or sell it to buy 'SennheiserEW112P G3 Bodypack Lavalier Omni' which is smaller and suits my needs better?

thanks in advance for any pointers. i dont know much when it comes to audio, hench the stupid question.

The G3 is a favorite among event and wedding shooters and I highly recommend it. The similarly priced Sony system is also good. Make sure you are also recording into some king of seperate recorder. Sure, you can adjust the gain on the t3i, but you can't monitor anything while recording - and with weddings it's not something you want to get wrong.

This question really belongs in either the Canon APS-C section ( http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/forumdisplay.php?187-Canon-APS-C ) or if not t3i specific, the audio section.
There is actually a sticky thread in the APS-C section all about audio options for this camera. But you'll get better generic audio advice in the audio forum most likely.

Either way, I don't think this belongs in the DSLR general discussion.
