This is my re-interpretation of Dante's Divine Comedy (Inferno, Purgatory, and Paradise). It's about two guys and their journey through Hell and Purgatory. It was pretty much a one man show except when I could get my friends to help out. They saved my life. All told, from inception to completion, it took two months and $100. I'd love to hear what y'all think.

It's a larger download (89MB) because it's 11 minutes long. Quicktime

Enjoy!

Having just shot a 64 second film involving an elevator to Hell, I can relate. Nice work.

How was this file compressed for quicktime? What were your settings and NLE?

It looked great. Was this shot in squeeze mode or with an anamorphic adapter?

Hey, nice grabs and nice CC.
I am having trouble downloading this file. It just downloads fast and I get a file with a size of zero bytes.

Has anyone else had this problem?

I thought it was pretty well done and alot of parts really worked. I think that the story was a little bit lacking and some parts didnt seem to flow but other than that it was very good. Very mystical

I edited in Premiere with some help from Magic Bullett. I compressed for quicktime with Sorenson Squeeze - and the basic web filter. Umm... No Anamorphic or squeeze, the Quicktime's just cropped. : )

wow. I absolutely loved this! Especially the two final scenes. Very beautiful and poetic. Excellent composition most of the time, and the colors looked great as well.

my only gripe was during some of the dialogue in the Hell sequences, it just wasn't sounding right (not the written words, but techically. I was getting some left-right stuff from my speakers.) and some of the acting was sub-par in parts, such as when the guy in Hell is supposed to be scared. not believable.

Other than that, it was definately worth watching multiple times.

cool short. enjoyed it. the sound seemed to be off. what i mean by this is the audio levels were too high and low at places. what did you use for mic?

Yeah, the audio gave me problems. Other than that, I'm really happy with the way it turned out. We used a set of wireless lapels to get most of the dialogue. We had a boom set up for one of the days on the shoot, but we could hardly use any of it. The sound could be off a bit due to compression.

I'm glad you guys are liking it.
