As much as I love the 7D - NSFW

Okay... umm.. I just watched it. I feel dirty now, but I am laughing and my body is all twisted and all I can say to you is.. very well done. Obviously hvx200, letus, and nikon lenses will produce great looking footages!!

Bravo. This has everything I could ask for in a short film. Hot girls, poop humor....a song by Toto.

Yeah, no doubt, it's not the camera that makes the film. It's the mastery of cinematography, lighting, sound and just generally knowing what you're doing. Nice job.
 
No you wont. 1/2 of the shots/setups you pulled off very well in this short are not available in Canon and will just become a struggle.
 
amazingly well done! ive never seen such clean images from an hvx and any adapter!
great performances as well.

we used my first generation hvx200. the nikon lenses we rented were fantastic. focus pulling wasn't much fun but other than that it was great. i sold the letus rig when the 7d came out. i love the 7d but i do miss the grain from the letus glass. just looks more organic
 
i just unloaded my brevis rig (adapter, 4 nikon lenses, follow focus, etc...) with the intent of getting a DSLR - 5Dmll most likely.

my logic was that there were too many points of potential failure, and too much hassle in an adapter rig. not to mention light loss on top of the already less than optimal low light performance of the camera.

hope i dont end up regretting the decision...
 
Great job Josh, very nice images and great story (even if it was based on a true story :) I know a girlfriend of a friend of mine who took a dump in a garbage bag instead of the toilet when she was drunk. Her mother in law found it the next morning. I smell a sequel :)
 
Josh, you just made my day with that film! Very nice work! I was just about to sell off my whole HVX package for a DSLR but you just convinced me otherwise! Thanks for sharing that film.

thanks! production was 3 days with one little pickup day. Initially a 12 minute short. cut it to 6 for the web version. really appreciate all the feedback.
