Are We There Yet?

LOL This reminded me of a friend of mine. I didn't think the spaceship in the stars looked all that convincing, but I did enjoy it very much, even though I don't like subtitles.
 
Yeah, it was a toss-up between just weirding out the voices, but making the words intelligible, or going with the subtitles. I decided going completely alien edged it out. (But I'm still not satisfied with the way the modulation tracked. Or maybe it was the "actors" delivery...)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, my wife is going to write up Romanian subtitles for it...so it can be not only annoying, but obscure. :grin:

And so her family can enjoy it more fully, of course.
 
i enjoy this it was cute, and coming from a big guy like you, even better! well done. i liked the subtitles with the weird voices gave it character i watch a lot of foreign films anyways.

For the past 10 months and 4 days, I've had subtitles turned on even for English-language films. Saves the Missus having to ask "What did he say?"

I don't even notice them anymore. Amazing what the mind can do, eh?
 
WOW! I LOVED this one! This was really, really funny! I loved your lighting of the ship's dashboard. Loved your static composition of it too. Loved the art direction and design of the "control panel." Loved all of the creature "hand" acting. Loved the sound design for the "dialogue." Very creative. I haven't viewed all of the shorts yet, but I like yours the BEST! Creative, funny, well executed, unpredictable! Your short is a terrific example of how a "simple" idea, executed well, can be really terrific. EXCELLENT JOB, MAN!

hey i do that now! i just look at my girlfriend like a dog cocks his head to a high pitch then i shrug my shoulders and go back to dvxuser. hmmmmmmm........................maybe thats why she's about to leave me?:crybaby:

She needs a forum for herself... Vali has her dieting web forum. Sometimes they actually talk about the real subject, too. Sounds like mostly off-topic, though. Awful lot of giggling going on. :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Anyway, she's on her computer and I'm on mine...but had to upgrade the DSL. We somehow managed to have 16 GB of traffic last month. :eek:
 
yeah that's what i have to do get her on a forum! aw she's going to school ( master in psyhcology) so she not only has school and work fulltime she's dealing with me! man how does she do it? dealing with me that is. dsl i know i got to upgrade i'm just cheap!
