Questions? Comments? Suggestions for next time?

And hoping you didn't stop it early at the end of the credits.

Pffft...

Monmouth County, to be specific. Middletown, to be specificer. :)

GenJerDan,

I definitely enjoyed this one. Funny, simple concept. Overall great job on the CG...I think my monitor might have been a little dark but it definitely helped sell the concept for me.

Yeah, dark monitors...you'll lose a bit, but it's more an annoyance than a hinderance. I've got mine calibrated (as much as possible). Good for films...bad for everything else. :)

I enjoyed it, too. Funny stuff. As I was watching it I was thinking, "I'd love to hear voices with this material," but it all became clear later. Nice one. You got me.

Personally, I liked the special effects, too.

It was fun to make. Just teaching myself animation, compositing, greenscreen. Mainly, anyway.

And, unfortunately, color-correcting. Remind me next to have tungsten or daylight, but not both in the same room. 'K?

Hmmm....maybe next one'll be lighting-heavy. That presupposes getting some real lights, though...

I had a good laugh watching this piece. The concept was simple and funny. My favorite line had to be at the end with "I want a divorce" The timing of that was hilarious. I have to say the sound bites for the alien's voices were getting a little repetitive and annoying towards the end. Overall I liked it! Funny stuff.

Yeah, I worried about that for a bit. Then I remembered that The Nanny ran for 7 years. I figure if people could listen to Fran Drescher for 146 episodes, they could put up with a 4 minute short. :D

I just wish the vocoder tracked a little better. (Or I knew how to make it do what I heard in my head.)

Man, You're right! I retract my previous comment.

The ending was great. I laughed out loud.

Realistically, though...that cat would've been tearing up the walls to get to that ship.:)

I thought it was funny- I agree with the cat comment- my cat would've been goin nuts. But great job at even getting that cat to sit still and do what you wanted it to do. Nice job on the cg.

That was like...um...take 17 on the cat. She'd already eaten 16 "spaceships", so she was pretty much sated. :)

My other cat was actually the inspiration for the film, but she didn't want to have any part of making it. (Actors! Sheesh!) But both of them enjoy swatting little flying things out of the air...and eating them. Yecch.

HA. That was very fun stuff. I enjoyed it. I'm gonna agree that the timing on the "I want a divorce" line was the biggest laugh there.

LOL You made me laugh again!
and yes, my cat would have been going crazy too.

Ya know, there's been comments about films with production value, and while your "production value" wasn't high, I really did enjoy your film. There really wasn't all that much camera work as a lot of it was animation, but the story was funny as hell -- clever. I loved the dumb@ass line.

Great efforts in the CG arena... I know I learned new things making our entry as well... and it's great to be put up to the challenge.

I laughed right out loud at the end. Really, good job!
