Everything I've heard about those is that they do a superb job. Pair them with a FF that reverses the gear box and I'd be very happy. I'm getting the Schneider primes, and just for giggles I ordered the 'DigiOptics' zoom pair from B&H. They're on their way and might be useful - and of course they might be awful…

I'd be VERY interested to get your view on the Digioptics glass and mechanics.

Will have the opportunity to find out this week. Will have the CP.1's and ZF's and some L glass all together in the same place.

The only comparison I know of between L glass and the ZF's is this:

They should arrive next week, and depending on schedule I might be able to put them on a RED or Alexa before the new year. I'm cautiously optimistic that they may have a place in some of our productions where travel space is tight and or the workflow demands a variable focal length lens.
