What is diameter of HVX lens focus ring

Hello,

I am trying to buy a RedRock gear for the HVX built-in lens. Does anyone know the diameter and/or the RedRock gear type (A,B,C,D, etc..) for this? I don't own one so I can't check. Thanks

Thanks Nexis, but I think 82mm is the filter size of the HVX. I am looking for the circumference of the focus ring, imagine putting a flexible ruler and wrap it around the focus ring.

RedRock has a printable ruler for this at http://www.redrockmicro.com/cartpics/ruler_foot.pdf If wrapped around the ring, it will tell you what gear they recommend you order. Thanks

I have one, and can confirm that the Redrock focus gear ring size for the HVX200/a is D. It's a verrry tight fit though, both in terms of the short screw, which just barely mates with the nut (they give you a longer screw too), and more significantly width-wise. The gear will scrape the right side of the camera body where the mic inputs are unless it's pushed absolutely as far forward on the focus ring as possible, all around the ring. There must be about 1/20th of a mm of clearance. It can be done scrape-free, but it'll take a minute or two of fiddling with each time you put it on.
