Are all GH2s made in china

I don't know where Panasonic Consumer cameras are made, but I've visited the factory for the broadcast stuff and that's all made in Osaka, Japan.

I would expect that all GH2s are made in one factory.
 
Interesting but i dont get all the usa china thing,panasonic are part of technics japan AFAIK, but there again honda cars are a japan company but made all over the world including the uk,
 
Hi guys, OK the question I want to know is not where they are made ...but where the H** are they ??? ...I am seriously thinking that there are unknown issues going on because how can there be none anywhere except asian language versions...Not to be critical but someone explain how you build great product and ..."not bulid" a great product" .Pardon my ignorance but if we had a universal menu system like canon we would not be stuck...anybody else here waiting for product to buy?

Hey heres an idea can we not like other groups order a group buy from panasonic like AVS forum?

I getcha. I was just making a supply-and-demand observation in case any Panasonic bods were still wondering about PAL users' interest in 25p.
 
My GH2 is made in Japan.

Panasonic is a huge company with a very diverse product range, from bicycles to electric cookware and massage chairs and medical devices, some of you might remember when they were called National and even their previous Japanese name of Matsushita if you were into computers or electronics

Flinty...Unless those are NTSC switchable that is not an abundance for us ,............plus I dont want to pay 60% more than list price here ......I guess if you pay a high enough premium one can find a camera ...but as per typical profits made on the Palistanis and domestic pay for north america to get product... simply frustrating.....I still like idea of group buy ...anybody? or re are numbers simply too small ?

And as far as money printing... wrong forum..wrong thread ..."Macbeth" had the handle on that

The 14-140mm lens has the famous "made in Japan". Ofcourse Pana is a Japanese Company and they have plants/offices all over the world just like Japanese cars.
I got mine in Thailand, authorized store, especially for the "Asian" countries. The box does say, "PAL" on it. The default language is English. Other people are not believing me or even believe that I have the GH2 on hand, but this is what I have, a GH2, probably the best DSLR/hybride as of writing and probably for another few years maybe. :)
 
Pana has several plants.
The PAL models for Asia are made in China. The NTSC models for Asia are made in Japan.
For the EU I think it depands.
At least all lenses I saw came from japan.
Intersting its quite difficult to get a GH2 in China.
During waiting for our AF100 we had to buy our GF2 in Hong Kong .
( We are based in Shanghai)
Even there is still hard to get.
BTW the price for GH2 14- 140mm and 7 to 14 lens togehter is arround 18000 HK$ which is arround 2300 US$

It's hard to understand what's going on. Exactly the same thing was going on with the release of the GH1, atleast here in Europe.
Somebody should get fired :-)
It's funny, here in Sweden you can find it in stores. They only have 1 or 2 in stock but nobody wants them. (I mean few people..)
