APS-C sensor vs 2/3 & 1/2" video sensors

Hi there,

Is the APS-C format larger than the 3MOS 2/3" and 1/2" video cameras?

Would they be as large/good as a video image from the EX1, or maybe even the HPX-500?

Also, if the Canon 60D is 18 megapixels, does that mean 18 megapixels for both stills and video? Or the video portion only 6 megapixels?

Thanks
David

While the 60D has a larger sensor, the HPX500 and EX1 both have higher resolution.

1000% disagree.... HPX500 basically shoots in 720p which is roughly the same as the 60d, the main difference though is the HPX500 has way way more noise and considerable less dynamic range.
