Apple ads

Buying a PC is kinda of like buying a used car..... it will get you where you need to go but probably will break down a couple times before it gets there.

I like the 'new car' smell my MAC has.

Snob.... sure why not- macs rule.

tjohara99,

Thanks dude. It was killing me. I couldn't remember where I SAW THE GUY BEFORE...DODGEBALL.

I have to use both since there are lots of apps on each to which I'm very partial.

Just got a MBP and haven't been using XP much, though. Although I don't hate it when I do use it.

The ads are okay, I guess. The iLife one is really good (associates the Mac with the iPod). The virus one is okay but is asking for trouble, the others are kind of lame (the restarting one is pathetic and not even true.)

Whatever, people are talking about it so they work at getting publicity, I guess. Honestly I don't see why Apple isn't gaining in market share. OS X was awful up until about version 10.1, but 10.4 is super awesome.

Also, the ads remind me of Arrested Development, but the AD crowd strikes me as a Mac-using bunch anyhow.

and among other things, Jeepers Creepers ... good movie until they show the crappy creature from the blue lagoon with wings monster.

huh?

I dunno, I guess that would have been funny in...1998? I don't remember the last time my PC crashed, frankly, whether I running load tests on Java code, or working with AfterEffects, or whatever.

And Macs crash too. Usually with the extremely buggy first-releases of their software. Compressor and Soundtrack both were the biggest pieces of **** when they first came out. I've crashed that box more than once.

I've never had a virus.

And I don't know about the rest of you, but I can plug a digital camera into my PC, and VOILA! It works! Amazing!

Yeah... been on a PC for 11 years and have NEVER had a virus... I also NEVER have virus protection software installed on my machines (sometimes they conflict with my multimedia programs)

seriously, macs are cool, i'd love to have one, but it's not like they NEVER have problems...

my teacher's G5 locks up every other day in class.

I've been working on a PSA on a Mac, and all of a sudden, Final Cut crashed, my project file was corrupted, and all the footage in the project was magically erased.

I just love Macs.

the commercial about the viruses is kinda, ehhh...\\

pleace correct me if I'm wrong but,

the reason mac's don't get viruses is because nobody makes viruses for unix based OS, because most of the world operates on PC's. If macs start selling more, then we might see viruses magically appear. If I were a mac owner, I'd hope that macs don't become the most popular so they keep their goodness.

That is true. The only reson that mac are less prone to viruses just beacuse there are not that many viruses writen for them. That will change over time. But most people run pc's so that makes a natrual chocie for a viruse writer that wants to attack allot of people

Pc's are as good as Macs, if handled by people that know their stuff. The Mac is a good package for people that are not that technical. You pay more for the Mac than for a similar (performance wise) PC. But you have the advantage of very few trouble shooting problems- at least concerning compatibilities...

Briceman you may have never had a virus or a crash YET but the fact is it COULD happen. (Not on a Mac) snigger!

I LOVE MACS WOOHOO!:love4:
