Somewhere in the distant future. A world under attack. A lone woman gazes into the abyss.

We are in the middle of writing our apocalyptic script and this was mainly a test film to see how far we could push our effects and production. We weren't even supposed to shoot this much, just mainly location scouting. But after we found a great area that reminded us slightly of the world from Fallout we also decided to film something. Everything slowed down to 25p to match PAL. A couple of shots with the Sony HC1.

Editing was consciously kept at a slow pace because it was new to us and I like to keep myself challenged. It's almost poem-like.

The bad guys here are slightly off, they come off as barbarians which was not planned. And I definitely don't like the way they run :9 . But we'll continue to plan our next bigger thing and learn from this experience!

VIDEO COPILOT showcase - Andrew Kramer would be proud of you.

Just kidding, good job Maarek.

The only critique is, you should move the layer with those" little-fluffy-flying-arround-things" when you pan.

We used a lot of smoke and dust elements from videocopilot but also from detonation films. Particles and the like were our own. And I did move those layers with the particles too, atleast in a couple of shots...Will have to double check.

!

Is she a robot because it would be cool if she was a robot. I would have also had her have sex with them and then killed them. I know ... too many cooks in the kitchen. :-)

on another note, I hadn't realized my speaker/light stands could shoot blue lazers from the bottom of its legs as she demonstrates in the clip. I just checked mine and shure enough, I just put a small hole in my living room wall. I'm surprised that the AMS music catalog made no mention of this before I bought it. Very cool.

....also the horizon of holocaust looks very authentic. Nice work!
