Aperture jumps - without Shutter, ISO and aperture-values changing...- Why?

I am a new GH2 owner and have set ip up for video as suggested in the gh2-setup - thread.
But still experience one problem: when i pan the camera I can clearly see "aperture jumps" (image gets brighter or darker). But I don't know why?! - Shutter, ISO and aperture-values don't change. Just the -3/0+3 -number - but that is just an indicator, isn't it?!
What am I doing wrong??

thanks for trying to help
it is the 14-140 pana-lens - and no - a-priority did not help.

two more newbie-questions: when i focus manualy my af101 displays the distance. the gh2 does not. right? or wrong setting?
is there a way to change aperture more smoothly (like the wheel at the af101)?

It's just the screen popping exposure right? It's on GH1 aswell, never managed to find the menu setting to turn it off (if there even is such a thing). But if it's the same in Record then ur doing it wrong :)

I was just looking into this last night. Setup menu page 2 has a LDC MODE setting (brightness control). I believe AUTO is the default. Changing it to a 1, 2, or 3 value which locks it.

Use the AF/AE LOCK function.

There is a button on the back just left of the wheel.
In the CUSTOM settings, page 2, set the "AF/AE LOCK" to AE, and "AF/AE LOCK HOLD" to ON.

When you are panning, push the AF/AE LOCK button and the camera will stop adjusting the values; you will keep the initial AE level in this shot. You will see "AEL" in the bottom left display corner when the lock is on.

You can leave the display on auto: LCD MODE: A* (SETUP, page 2).

I hope this will work for you.
