so i've given up on my sanaford and davis tripod after it broke a 2nd time on a shoot and now am going to save for a good tripod. $1500 is pushing it for me but i'll have to try dishing it out for a decent tripod. This one is comapred to satchler and vinten in this reveiw http://www.dvuser.co.uk/content.php?CID=228

I need a tripod that can handle up to 25 lbs as my dslr rig when fully rigged out is close to 14lbs. As this is not the last camera i will be using and future proofing myself is a must, i will go up to 26lbs with this tripod. Anyone have experience with it? or the lower models in the same series.

The satchler ones that can handle those wieghts are just 2 expensive for me. However this looks like a good tripod.

I use an older model that is very similar, but I got the ground level spreader. not suped up like a satchler but very solid, smooth and easy to use. When I started I was doing mostly run&gun weddings and other events so I needed something dependable but simple and very quick. I have never been dissapointed. (of course I'd rather have a new satchler if I could afford one, too)

wow I was just reading some of the new features and I must say it looks awesome. It looks like a hell of a set of sticks for the price. The improved counterbalance system and new plate look like killer upgrades to an already solid set of sticks. I think if you get one you'll not be sad at all. and I need to upgrade!

I bought a Sachtler FSB6 head with aluminum legs and it cost me $1400 in December. It holds up to 13 pounds. I feel like if you want something to hold up to 25 pounds you'll need something in the $2500+ range.
