i've done some searches about P2CMS and am interested in using it.... i am currently using FCP 5.1.4 with Raylight and Quicktime 7.1.3 on a dual 2.0 G5 running 10.4.10, and my system/workflow is rock solid. i believe in the saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", but the requirements for P2CMS says Quicktime 7.2, and i've heard many horror stories of how updating Quicktime screwed up many systems. most threads i've read say not to go past 7.1.6 (with my OS/FCP/G5 setup)... just wondering if P2CMS will in fact run on an earlier version, or some validation if it is safe to update to 7.2 (again, with my OS/FCP/G5 set-up) - i have back-ups of my boot drive, but just thought i would ask first... any info would be appreciated - thanks.

Ah, if you don't have to do it, then don't, thats all I have to say about that.
Run dale runnnn.

I was in the same boat, I had my system rock solid AND THEN I thought hey I'll upgrade my QT, must be better, I'll upgrade my OS, must be better, a week of headaches and re-installing of software. Now I am back to rock solid using panther and FCP 5.0.4 and QT 7.3. I think you are safe upgrading QT to 7.3, just don't go past that version yet.
