C100: Anyone using Marshall Electronics V-LCD90MD 9"? Need your opinion.

I need something larger than 7" and was considering this unit, I have no experience with the Marshall brand. It does bother me that the HDMI jacks are out the back rather than the bottom, seems like it will take too much pressure since we often lay the monitor on its back. If I go with this one I would probably do an Anton Bauer back.

So if you have one what is your opinion?

Thanks,

My clients have a Marshall (not a 9") and generally, I like my Small HD a LOT better, I've used them side by side.

Don´t know about the current line-up, but Marshall was the go-to brand for many in HVX days.
I wanted a budget 9" or larger director-monitor, but besides high-end their seems nothing out there.
Went with a 22" computer screen that can still be battery powered, but of course needs a tripod/c-stand to mount...

Thanks hammerhorror for letting me know about that review. I now wont't consider it. But I don't think Small HD makes anything larger than 7".

Coincidentally I received a $300 mail in rebate today from Small HD, so I got the 7" OLED with SDI. Thanks all for your opinions.

If you went with the DP7PRO, I think you will be very pleased. I love mine. And great customer service to boot.

The Marshall V-LCD90MD doesn't seem like a good match for the C100 based on the first review of the monitor on the B&H website. The user says that the Marshall doesn't see the 24p signal from his C100. See review here: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...V_LCD90MD_3G_V_LCD90MD_3G_9_HDMI_Monitor.html

I personally don't have any experience with the Marshall, but I figured the above user review was worth mentioning.

That's interesting......I have a Marshall V-LCD70MD and it works in all frame rates with my C100.
