Anyone use the Metabones Mark 2 with latest firmware: Green Power mode?

I'm interested in the Metabones Mark II, but the latest firmware has me a bit concerned.

Metabones writes about the new Green Power mode and Advance Manual Focus Mode:

Your Metabones Smart Adapter II supports two different operation modes. Each mode supports a different set of features. You select the operation mode when you mount the lens. The following tables summarize the differences between the two operation modes.

Seems like it would be a bit annoying to have to select the Operation Mode every time you mount a lens as I change lenses a lot. Maybe it's not that big of a deal, but has anyone had any personal experience with this? Seems like the Green Power mode is for still cameras only and the FS cameras would use the Advance Manual Focus Mode.

I've got a Metabones Mark II. I've never had to select an Operation Mode when changing lenses or any other time. I seem to recall
a piece of paper that came with the Metabones which explained that the Green Power mode ONLY works with still cameras and
not with the NEX video line.
 
yea, I saw that too. (just got mine 2 days ago) But I popped the 2 canon lens' on just to check and they seem to work as advertised. No AF, but then they did say it wouldn't work on FS's.

Actually the latest firmware from Metabone does enable AF on some specific lenses. It's pretty slow though.
 
Thanks for response guys. Just another quick question

Can you guys confirm on the Metabones Mark 2 that the Bokeh clipping problem when shooting under f2 is FIXED? That is the only real weakness on the Mark 1 first generation.

@ Chris Johnson, did you order straight from Hong Kong? Or did you order in the USA? I tried to get one from Birnes and Sawyer, but they told me they're out and not carrying them any more. :( I have one on order from Abel Cine, but it's taking forever. I'd like to have it sooner than later, so in the USA if possible.

I ordered from the Metabones website (Order was shipped from HK) got it in less than 2 days

I too ordered from their website and got it faster than I can get anything from my own country.
My 'local' pro video store is about 1000 miles away so I have no issue just ordering online and
Metabones is fast, I too got it in 2 days.
 
Just got the Metabones Mark 2 from EVSonline. Went into the store. Thanks for the heads up on EVS.

Mark 2 is so much better than Mark 1. Way less play in the mount, the Bokeh problem is fixed and the aperture wheel works much nicer on Mark 2. Feel so much more solid overall on the Mark 2.

Now I guess I have a Mark 1 backup in case the other one goes down.

Great job Metabones. You guys made an incredible adapter. If they can do something like this for the F5, that would make that camera even more desireable.
 
Please supply the firmware number everyone is talking about.

I see a Firmware 14 talked about on their website. Also a comment on their website says to wait for the next firmware upgrade unless you are in a hurry, because they expect further improvements soon.

I've got firmware version 15. You can actually check which firmware you have now on the FS100.
I posted about this and how to do it on my blog.
