Anyone use a Tamron 17-50mm?

I've been pleased with my Tamron 17-50 f2.8 VC. No problems.

This was shot entirely with the lens:

Did you use an Nd Fader?

[stephenvv]

I have the non-VC version and I call it a good lens for the money but I agree - focus throw is short but I find it solid. With good follow focus, it's decent, even for narrative or doc focus pulling. Very good when you factor in price.

Cieloent,

I carry an ND filter, but don't care for it. Almost alway use a polarizer for landscape though.

I also have the Tamron 17-50 VC, I love it!

Just shot a complete low budget corporate movie with it:

Haven't used mine a lot yet, but this was the first thing I shot with it when I got my T2i.
