Anyone tried A1 and Go-35Pro?

Seems to be quite a bit of buzz on the M2 and the Brevis for the A1, but haven't really seen any discussion on the Go35. I know it works with the FX1 but has anyone tried out the A1 with the Go35Pro?

That is an interesting question I would love to know the answer to. I'm very curious to see how the Go35 would work with an HDV camera.

I just bought my brand new A1 yesterday and I have the Go35 Pro too. I'll test the combo out as soon as I can and post some footage maybe in three days.

My holiday ends at thursday and I'll get back to my apartment. I'll post some footage or grabs next weekend! Too bad I have only one old Nikon 50mm lens which has three dust spots between the lens elements but that won't prevent me testing.

Here's the first test with Go35Pro I promised. Sorry for the blown out face and dust spots between the lens elements. I hate to share bad quality test clips :( I don't really have a clue how to compress a good quality HD file for web. But it looks ok for the available lighting.

I have to move the gg a little further because the canon can't focus close enough when zoomed to get rid of the vignette.

I'll share some better quality test when the sun shows up and when I have modified my adapter :D

This was at f1.4? Cant believe it looks that clean... I wonder if mr Lafferty has done some improvements to the diffuser since he mailed the last one to me.

Where is Jim anyways? Did Cinemek team liquidate him for intruding to their territory?

Yeah it was at f1.4 because it was so darn dark in my apartment. ...and I also wonder where Jim is. I would like to have some advice from him adjusting the gg. I believe that I could get almost perfectly clean footage in daylight.

I'm "around". Been spending most of my time lately developing a freelance photography business -- nothing beats the shallow DOF of a DSLR, let me tell ya :D

That footage was surprising, even to me. I tested and played around with an FX1 a while ago but was not happy enough with my results. This shot blows that out of the water, so I'm not sure what happened during my test but this seems promising.

badlaa -- I'll get back to you re: your distance question. It's a shame this cam has too shallow a minimum focal distance -- the GL1/GL2s were great for this.

Looking forward to more footage, definitely :)
