C300: Anyone successfully shooting 4K C300 MKII with these Delkin CFast Cards?

I really don't think that you can assume that approved cards are going to be more reliable. Unapproved cards may not keep up with certain write speeds better, but I would never just assume that my data is safe because I spent twice as much for memory for an approved card.

This. A quality card that’s not on the “approved” list isn’t going to be any MORE likely to fail than a quality card that IS on the list. All being “approved” means is that the manufactuer has tested the card and it works.

If a card records footage and doesn’t drop data, it should be fine. Canon isn’t going to test every iteration of every card brand... and they’re not testing reliability... they’re testing performance.

Their “approval” doesn’t mean squat about reliability or failure rate or how “safe” your footage is.

Sandisk now has 256 GB CFast available which are compatible with Arri, Canon, and Blackmagic. If you ever shoot with either of those cameras as well, the rental costs of not needing to rent CFast could be worth the extra money.

The 256 Gb sandisk cards are backordered. I was about to order one and saw that they are not available at the moment.
