Anyone have a Sony ECM 77?

I bought one for my Sony UWP wireless rig 'cause the supplied lav is useless, doesn't even have a model number on it. At the time I saw good reviews and the 77 is/was in the middle of the Sony lav price range from 44 > 88. Sounds good, no complaints.

Cheers.

Anyone have a Sony ECM 77? What are your thoughts on this mic? What is your experiences with this?
symply doesnt worth the money :-)
was very popular in 80s as news guys tools as came with battery powersupply and gave appurtunity to work with very small dimention microphone .
sound wise any countryman sounds better , has less problems with cables and head connection

I've been looking at the countryman B6 also. For one thing its nice and small. Anyone have a countryman B6? How does that one work for you?

I keep two of them in my kit. They sound fantastic and are easy to place. I bought my first B6 in 1997... still have it, still use it, never had any problems out of it.

C2V and I agree about the B6.

That in itself worries me a but, but I'll get over it. :)

I see countryman B6 is mainly sold for wireless mic systems and I'm a bit short on cash at this time. Can the countryman B6 come with a XLR connector or do you need to purchase an adaptor for it?

Where do I find this? I'm looking all over the net to no avail.:(

Any dealer who carries Countryman will either stock or be able to order the XLR-terminated B6. You might give dvestore.com a call. I know they carry it for Sennheiser G2 wireless systems, so they should be able to get it with XLR for you.

try NLS - they where the CHEPEST then dvx supporters , at least a year ago
and check carefully you get one with ph to bias adaptor and not regular xlr which is also exist
