Anyone editing AVCHD on a Mac with Premiere Pro CS4?

I have seen comments about challenges in using AVCHD and Premiere Pro CS4 before the 4.1 patch in early June. Since the patch, is anyone editing AVCHD natively on a MacBookPro with Premiere Pro CS4 with great success?

Does this mean nobody is editing AVCHD on a Macbook Pro using Adobe Premiere CS4? I was interested in hearing how the work flow is going as well!
 
I'm gathering from the silence, and from some intervening research, that perhaps very few are doing this. Premiere Pro CS4 on the PC side requires at least a 2.8 GHz dual processor to crunch AVCHD. Would the processor speed requirement be different when running CS4 on the Mac?

I may be giving this a go. I just ordered CS4 production bundle, mostly for after effects but premiere comes along with it so I will give it a try. FCP is great but the issues with native support is really a pain sometimes. I have a MB Pro with 2.4 dual and 4 gigs ram so I don't know how it will handle avchd.
 
You'll like Premier for the ability to preview After Effects without having to render each time.
I have it on a PC with two dual 3.2ghz processors and 4gb ram and Raid 5 with no probs so far. I don't know about running it on a laptop.

I have the latest MBP (mid 09) 2.66ghz, 4gb, and 7200rpm drive.

I am looking at the Hmc150 so i downloaded some .mts files that were 1080p30 to test out with Premiere 4.1 to see if the native editing worked well.

In full quality preview the playback was smooth enough for simple cuts but adding any changes/transitions caused stuttering.

In automatic quality the clips played fine and the footage was fine with transitions. I had firefox 3.5 with 3 tabs running also.

I am running Snow Leopard.

I was only using the 9400m at the time, not the 9600m.

The files were only the .mts without the folder structure - i dont know if this would impact at all.

I've tried editing native AVCHD 720/24 and 60 on a 8 core 2.26 GHz MacPro Nehalem with 12 GBs of RAM with CS4.1

Straight cuts are fine. Beyond that, it isn't pleasant.
 
I am in the exact same boat as David. For now, I am transcoding the footage to AIC. Most likely I will be going to FCP pretty soon.
 
I have an early Macbook Pro 2.6 Ghz 4 GB RAM 500 GB 7200

Premiere CS4 and I use Cineform's Neo HD for transcoding :)
