Anyone Confirm HPX170 is NTSC/PAL Switchable

NAB2008 pdf releases says it is.

Insert into this month's Videography magazine repeats that it is switchable.

But I recall a couple of threads that indicate it isn't.

Is it the box or the curtain?
 
Last I heard, a final decision has not been made. I'm sure that brochure/insert says something about "all specifications are subject to change" somewhere, right?

Barry you will know more about this when you go to that exhibition this week (wasn't it HD expo 2008?)? Maybe it is somewhere hidden deep in the menu :evil:
 
I'm not attending that expo.

I don't know when an official decision will be made; last I heard the decision had not been made. I advise everyone who has a stake in this to vote in the poll. The best we can do is to let them know how much we want it.
