Anyone compared XF300 output to the Sony F3?

I am seriously looking to add a dedicated video camera to my arsenal and am drawn towards the XF300. However I love the flexibility of interchangeable lenses (currently use three 5D MK II's) and the ability for low light and / or shallow DOF. I hear that the XF300 due to the chip size has deep DOF and is not as great in low light but I also hear that it does have very good pic quality.

The other camera that grabs my attention is the Sony F3 and I really would like to know if anyone has compared the footage from both as I'd like to know if there is a significant difference.

Thoughts anyone?

How are you going to be using the camera? I love the xf300 when I'm shooting outdoors during the day, but it's very light-hungry indoors, and won't give you the same kind of DOF control that you're used to unless you're zoomed well into the telephoto range.

A lot of my work is outdoors and but not always in good light, but a percentage is indoors. I know a lot of great comments have been made about the XF300/305 image quality and I am intrigued as to just how it would stand up to the IQ of the F3. At the moment with three 5D IIs my typical shoot is to have two rigged up as A and B video cameras with the third used as a normal stills camera. I could of course get two XF300s for the price of the F3 but if the IQ of the latter is significantly better I could be swayed to go down that route. I suppose the answer is to rent both and find out for myself but I was hoping that some have already compared the two.

Those are two very different cameras that are better suited to different tasks. The IQ out of each is truly excellent, as long as your purposes uses the camera to its strengths.
