Any techs w/ dvx100 fuse experience?

I'm in the final stages of a chassis/lens mod with my DVX100 and I've been pretty careful to test the camera at every stage and just recently the camera stopped responding to the power switch. I tested voltage coming into the camera through the internal power cable and its reading +8.5v so that doesn't seem to be the problem. I read a couple posts saying that its not terribly uncommon for the DVX to throw a fuse, located on the power board. We'll I have the power board sitting in front of me with no visible signs of failure but then again I'm not 100% sure of what I should be looking for. Does anyone out there have any advice or experience replacing these fuses? What does it look like and are there any hard-fast ways to tell if thats the problem in the first place? Any other reason you can think of for why it wont power up?

thanks for any suggestions,
sean

I started the project many years ago not to long after I switched from a JVC DV500 to the DVX. first impulse was to get the real physical controls of a manual lens which lead me to fitting the camera with a sony 1/2" mount and a canon zoom. The mod went quickly but during the assembly I ended up damaging the white balance circuit and the camera sat on the shelf for a couple years waiting for parts and inspiration. I had always had the intention of expanding the project to incorporate a 35mm relay adapter but I started shooting more film and it seemed like a dated idea. recently i got re-inspired because the goal became not a camera for acquisition but more like a digital, record-able, director's finder. while on my film sets it seems like it would be a handy tool for shot making.

its pretty simple, I used lens elements from the DVX itself, a simple ground glass and a PL mount. all the rest of the lens has been removed to keep it as bright as possible. all automatic features have been removed and the LCD has been hard-wired to flip the image. I used a pretty open-ended "optical bench" approach to the construction so I can always get inside and replace the lenses or the GG later on, move the planes forward and back to compensate for other lenses I might want to adapt later on. I haven't been able to get down to the rental house to borrow a PL lens and set my mounting flange depth and get the CCD and lenses all centered up but should go pretty quickly and then I can cinch everything down.

this was the old setup:
