Ye give it a go.....not as sharp as the 24 - 105 glass but much wider
A trick i do is to up the sharpness from -10 or -8 to -2 to help nail focus then in post i'll slap on a gaussian blur filter at about .5 to subtlely reduce any image noise or artefacts.
